The first element that was created in this sculpture and series was the larger circle with thin stripes of glass. It sat for about a year and a half before the idea of this sculpture series was conceived. The artist, Kathy Seff explains, "The thin lines on the circle started out as an experiment, I didn't know what I was going to do with the finished piece. It wasn't anything other than a 4" circle of hot glass stripes but it was one of my most favorite pieces that I couldn't resist picking up, touching and constantly thinking about. So I started sketching ideas for a larger work that would incorporate this element... Voila! All Lined Up!" The background glass is clear to compliment any solid color backdrop.
